My favorite thing about calling her when she’s in Italy is thinking about how fast the bits fly back and forth. The other Venice is 7,000 miles away but the phone is instantaneous, it sounds better than when she calls me from Calabasas. Whenever I say something, the words travel near the speed of light down a bundle of undersea cables and practically shoot out the other end, and then she says something back, and it’s like the men’s singles final at the US Open—we have to stand far back, out of the court to manage conversation. #
TextMate tip: when you check out a directory from Subversion and open it, you can press Ctrl+Shift+A to get a menu with a bunch of svn options, like add and diff. #
