Today my EE discussion was cancelled, so I went to see all my advisors. It was awesome. Essentially, I have permission to take any grad-level course I want. (!!!) This erases the major roadblock towards graduating on time. I’ll probably even be able to finish the percussion minor.
Some CS courses that strike my fancy:
CS 541 Artificial Intelligence Planning
CS 542 Neural Computation with Artificial Neural Networks
CS 544 Natural Language Processing
CS 561 Artificial Intelligence
CS 564 Brain Theory and Artificial Intelligence
CS 566 Neural Network Self-Organization
CS 567 Machine Learning
CS 569 Integrated Intelligent Systems
CS 574 Computer Vision
There’s also a lot of cool courses in the neuroscience, biology, philosophy, and linguistics departments.
In the spring I’m going to take 460 (Intro to AI) and 499 (Exotic Computing). So, I need to pick two more from the above list to count for my technical electives and my neuroscience CMS category. #

I only have 50 more units to graduate. Incredible… it was something like 82 yesterday. So if I do 8 units over summer, it averages out to 14 units per semester.
Of course I’m not going to slack like that :), so I can take a ton of cool stuff.
Thought: I could take 21 units a semester and graduate a semester early, saving $20K and probably setting some sort of record for the high ratio of undergrad degrees/semesters.

Also, theoretically, if I dropped all the other crap and took 23 units this spring, I could graduate this May with a degree in CS if I wanted. Haha that would be fun.

Also: If I complete the three degrees with no other electives, I’m set to graduate with 175 units. Haha.
Maybe I could graduate with over 200, that would be funny.

Another: There’s an honors program for neuroscience, where you take some research units, do a thesis, etc. I have room for that now.
If I can get my GPA to go up about .08 for one semester, I can get back into Engineering Honors.
Degree:
Computer Science w/ Honors
Neuroscience w/ Honors
Minor, Musical Studies, Performance

Some of us didn’t bust our hump in undergrad and still go to grad school for free.
Man oh man, you’re making me realize how lucky I really am.
There are ways, my friend. There are ways.
