No more TV for me.
I’m thinking about doing a summer semester. I could do math 407, and a GE. I would be home the first or second week in July. Problem is, it doesn’t start until late May, so I’d be sitting around doing nothing for a while. Maybe I could get an internship or something in LA.
I’m broke. Need to stop spending money, period. Time to start living like a poor college student. Should be getting my next check from WiFiLand soon, so that’ll help. Working part-time from home at my own pace rocks.
I had some thoughts about KSCR today. Right now we market ourselves as “revolutionary radio,” the student-run station at USC. Instead of that, we should take on a slogan like “independent radio los angeles,” and market ourselves as the center of the los angeles underground music scene (whether we are or not). We should be publicly anti-corporate: an alternative to everything LA radio is about. We should spend time plastering LA — not just USC — with KSCR stuff. The fact that we’re in LA is a huge disadvantage sometimes as a fledgling college radio station, but there are some aspects to being in LA that we should exploit. Imagine how cool it would be if we got a vibe going in the community that KSCR is LA’s cool independent radio. #
