Fist in the Air

2 weeks? New record. Here’s the straight dope (read post below). I could sell tickets to this stuff!

I’m all settled in, and busy with classes. Just two nights ago, I played marimba! Mission accomplished. My first lesson is on Monday. Max’s parents are in town, but I have yet to meet them. I’m sure they’re cool. Susan and Max fight a lot. It hurts me to see them hurting each other. I don’t know what’s going on… I feel like a kid in a family with parents that can’t stop fighting. Luckily, I have no experience in said area.

I cooked again tonight. This time I tried to duplicate my dad’s amazing marinara, with some success. I used a little too much sugar, and I needed to thicken it up somehow. Maybe more tomato paste? Anyway, it was tasty. Even if it had turned out badly, cooking for yourself and others is gratifying. And the experimentation is fun.

Still not really comfortable talking about girls here.

I love Rage Against the Machine. Just ordered the three albums I didn’t have from half.com… one came the next day! Cool. Anyway, the guys are brilliant. My regret is that I didn’t get into them while they were still together. Their lyrics make me feel like hanging stuff like this on my walls:

Are you sick of American imperialism?

I think if you just cook the sauce longer, it will thicken as the excess liquid evaporates. Wangn.
