Anybody think it’s a bad thing when the democratically elected leader of a major world power centers his re-election campaign around opposition to American foreign policy? Warning bells? Hint hint, Mr. President? Jesus. I can’t wait to vote him out of office.
And what the hell is this? The move brings the total that Mr. Cheney is spending on travel this fiscal year to $536,000, or 38 percent higher than the amount originally allotted, a percentage increase that seems highly unusual. In 1994, the comparable year for President Bill Clinton, former Vice President Al Gore spent $42,000, or $51,000 in today’s dollars.
Lovely.

Physics physics physics. It’s all I ever do anymore. If I switched to 152 from 162, I might have a life. Is it worth it? I’m not sure anymore. It was OK last semester, but the work load this time is a joke.
Anyway, I’ve been very busy with school. EE probably takes up the least time, like last semester. Besides physics, there’s CS projects and music theory homework to keep me busy.
On the non-school front, I went to the Thornton Symphony’s debut last week. It was good, not to mention fascinating to me, because of my limited experience with the strings. I miss that stuff — maybe I’ll be able to do some ensembles next semester.
I think I’m going to go utilize my break time (i.e. Friday night before the work starts again Saturday morning) and read a little. Currently reading Neal Stephenson’s Cryptonomicon. It’s good so far. Which is good, because it’s over 900 pages long. That’s, like, a kilopage. #
Bush has spent 42 percent of his term so far at one of his three leisure destinations.
Bush spends more time vacationing than I spend sleeping. #

2 weeks? New record. Here’s the straight dope (read post below). I could sell tickets to this stuff!
I’m all settled in, and busy with classes. Just two nights ago, I played marimba! Mission accomplished. My first lesson is on Monday. Max’s parents are in town, but I have yet to meet them. I’m sure they’re cool. Susan and Max fight a lot. It hurts me to see them hurting each other. I don’t know what’s going on… I feel like a kid in a family with parents that can’t stop fighting. Luckily, I have no experience in said area.
I cooked again tonight. This time I tried to duplicate my dad’s amazing marinara, with some success. I used a little too much sugar, and I needed to thicken it up somehow. Maybe more tomato paste? Anyway, it was tasty. Even if it had turned out badly, cooking for yourself and others is gratifying. And the experimentation is fun.
Still not really comfortable talking about girls here.
I love Rage Against the Machine. Just ordered the three albums I didn’t have from half.com… one came the next day! Cool. Anyway, the guys are brilliant. My regret is that I didn’t get into them while they were still together. Their lyrics make me feel like hanging stuff like this on my walls:

Are you sick of American imperialism? #
