The post you’ve all been waiting for…
(For which you’ve all been waiting. I think not.)
OK, back in LA, with car. The trip was wonderful. I ate great food (Mexican, Cajun, Tex-Mex, Tex-Mex, Tex-Mex, seafood, in that order)… 2500 miles of good music, as well. Got my dad hooked on DMB!
We stopped in Tallahassee, Baton Rouge, San Antonio, El Paso, and Blythe (CA). Texas isn’t as bad as you might think, and LA (the other LA, that is — not L.A.) was fun. Blythe will be the subject of jokes for decades to come.
So now I’m in my apartment, well, my temporary apartment. I move to the real thing on Monday. Which reminds me, I need to get the utilities turned on. This apartment is cool, and the new one will be better. I’ve spent the last few days driving around and spending money, mostly on kitchen stuff. I hope my other two roommates contribute in some way for that stuff. The most sound purchase so far has been one (1) Costco apple pie. Endless enjoyment, for only $6.99!
I’m still in the market for a desk and chair… Costco let me down in that department. Maybe OfficeMax tomorrow.
I don’t feel much like writing now, but I just wanted to give everyone an update. More later perhaps. #

If that’s not some sort of sick pun, you’re off your game.

Welcome home, Chris, part deux. Joe, what exactly is the nature of your relationship with a
Costco apple pie?

We’re just friends.

Hey Chris, welcome back to good old, smoggy Los Angeles. Now that you’re living off campus, I’m sure you’ll be packing your body armor and practicing how to dodge bullets. J/K Hope to talk to you soon.
