Cloudy, Windy, Cold…

…and it’s raining in SoCal!

woohoo!

Horchata. No.

Yes, my friends: horchata, the Mexican rice and milk drink of alleged fame, is in fact not that great. A trip to Chano’s last night led me towards Orange Bang once again (a sweet frothy citrus concoction - and I emphasize frothy), but I was drawn to the sign advertising horchata - Horchata Ole!, I’ve been instructed. It was a bit sweet for my tastes, at least compared to The Bang?. Max observed that any sip larger than an ounce or two was pure bad news; heck, make that pure evil. I ordered a large. He was right.

Isn’t it strange that an entire world - one that is important to me - can be represented by a long list answers? You’d think it was Jeopardy. Everything in computer-land resolves to a statement of yes or no. Even digitally recorded questions end up as answers.

I’d retell (for the eleventy-billionth time) my story of bicycle pain, but I think it’s time to sleep. Let’s just suffice it to say that my face hit the fence first, somewhere in the range of a titanium screw (and I’m not talking about the fence, for the surgery-impaired in the audience). Then gravity took its toll. ‘Nuff said.

Today, I can take solace in the fact that I knew the song quoted at the bottom of the most recent Penny Arcade news. That’s nice, because I never know what the song is. Ever.

…Before you accuse me of not actually knowing it, I’ll just say that it’s System of a Down’s Chop Suey. Rejoice.

I have also come to the conclusion that - surprise! - sleep is good. I got a full eight hours or so last night, which was most beneficial. It only took me a single snooze to get up! This is compared to Wednesday. After, oh, let’s say, nine or so snoozes, I sat up and reset the alarm clock to wake me up for class #2. I then preceeded to go back to sleep, and snooze repeatedly through class #2. Luckily for me, class #3 started at 3:30 — past the point where I was glued to the mattress. They were only labs, and I can honestly miss the first one for the rest of the semester without it affecting my grade. The second one is a bit more important, though. Probably should’ve woken up for that one. Heck, I should’ve gone to bed earlier.

The way I see it, I was up late enough that all my friends on the east coast stopped being away on AIM — they were getting up for class. Ha!

In a geek sort of way, you could say that the derivative of life over the last week or so (especially the last day or two) has been in the positive range. That is, life is sloping upwards. You got that, right? Yeah, read the title. Uh huh, fine. Go ask an engineer or something. :)

Uh.

This is bad. Very bad.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah

In what amounts to two days, I will be auditioning to enter the USC Thornton School of Music. Ack!

yawn

To the theme of Jeopardy:

dum dum dum duh duh dum dum dum, dum dum dum dum dum!, dum-da-da-da-da dum dum dum da-da dum dum dum, dum!, da-dum dum dum, dum, dum (dum dum).

That is all.

Friends of P.

If you’re friends with P., well then you’re friends with me.

My life has been turning up lately. Although my classes continue to get worse and worse, certain other things are doing much better. There’s no genetic disorder in my wrist… I’ll just need rehabilitation and physical therapy. That’s good — I should be able to play again.

I took a CS midterm today. 102, that is, so that’s C++. Not too hard. Yay.

I got a schweeet folding keyboard for my Cli?. Very nice. I took notes with it in history today. Very nice. :)
