popup madness
wow, i just logged into scribble, and i was immediately faced with six (count ‘em, six) popup ads. jeeez. some of them were duplicates, too. ugh.
anyway, much has happened since my last entry. i had my surgery… it hurts a bit, and the painkillers hurt my throat. my mouth is rubberbanded shut, so i can’t really eat anything. so i’ve been drinking a lot of milkshakes and soups. which is even difficult itself, because my whole face and mouth is numb. drinking can be harder than you think.
in unrelated news, i am typing this entry on a new microsoft split keyboard, which is connected to my new computer! w00t! everything’s working pretty well, although i had some problems with windows (first 98SE, then 2000) during setup. specifically, the drivers for this sound blaster live card suck. oh yes, do they suck. yes, please, soundblaster, install a toolbar at the top of my desktop so that i can have quick access to all the sample sounds you included, for the rest of my life! i want to be able to configure my sound card just as easily as i would click the start button, or glance at the time! sigh
that’s all for now. visual studio 6 installation wants to restart. #
